Terms of service
These terms cover your use of Methodic, an Android app by Nathaniel Murray. By installing or using the app, you agree to them.
Using the app
Methodic is a personal tool for planning and tracking routines. You can use it for any lawful purpose. You're responsible for the routines and information you enter and for keeping your phone and Google account secure.
Your data
Your data is yours. It is stored on your phone and, if you turn on Drive backup, in your own Google Drive. How it is handled is described in the privacy policy. Keeping a backup is your responsibility; if you uninstall the app or lose your phone without a backup, I can't recover your data.
Reminders and alarms
Reminders and alarms depend on your phone's settings, battery rules and permissions, and can be delayed or blocked by them. Don't rely on Methodic for anything where a missed or late alert could cause harm, such as medication that must be taken on time.
Third-party services
Google Drive, Google Calendar, YouVersion and Unsplash are run by their own companies under their own terms. I'm not responsible for their services or for changes to them.
No warranty
Methodic is provided "as is", without any warranty. I try to keep it working well, but I can't promise it will be uninterrupted or free of errors.
Limit of liability
To the extent the law allows, I'm not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for lost data, arising from your use of the app. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under the law that can't be waived.
Changes
I may update these terms. The current version will always be posted on this page with its effective date, and continuing to use the app after a change means you accept it.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Missouri, United States.
